There is still a profound crisis for the Garifuna communities after Mitch. They remain neglected, for the most part, by relief agencies and church efforts. Please help in the coordinated effort to try and bring aid and attention to the Garifuna, who have been forgotten even in this most terrible of disasters. As explained on that web page, donations CAN get down to Garifuna communities, through SHANY in NY for example; community groups in Honduras are struggling to re-build and need resources and volunteers; AND they also need our help to fight for their right to the land (i.e. November's Reforma de Articulo 107).
