how about a temporary lowering or moritorium on vehicle imports. vehicles lost in Mitch could be replace with newer, less polluting, more easily fixed, etc at a more civilized price. no wonder a $500 yonker in usa costs $3000 plus in Honduras. the purpose of import duties is to restrict foreign competion from competing with local production. Since Honduras manufactures no vehicles, the high aduana costs only punish the honduran people. WHY?
